Summary
The Fourteenth of Yellowmonth. The Annual Martial Sung Poothers Yellowmonth Sale.
The day is oppressively humid as warm air blows off the Everywhen Sea and Barrier Bay. The group leaves the Depico Hexad Hotel in City Mobile and heads outside the City Fixe out past the Red Wall, some sort of religious wall featuring statues of Red Land Heroes who have their blood for human freedom against the Builders. They travel upon a dirt road and pass many differing revolutionary cadres heading towards the city, some wearing berets, others red arm sashes, others red balaclavas.
The group camps at the foot of a mountain and sets up camp for the night next to a cinnamon mountain stream. Monterey boils the water, even as the air smells of cinnamon
As Brother Lump takes watch, early in the morning, an explosion can be heard somewhere in the mountains, then what sounds like fireworks. The group cannot see anything in the dark and decides to pack up camp and continue onwards.
The Fifteenth of Yellowmonth. The Annual Martial Sung Poothers Yellowmonth Sale.
After breaking down camp and continuing into the wilderness, the morning is pleasant and breezy. Quite nice even! The group startles some sort of mulelike animal with a red fungi bulb for a head that seems to emit heat as it scurries up a sheer mountain face away from their struthios. Monterey is familiar with these animals, mushmules!
Much of the day is spent following the mountain foot, eventually finding a switchback trail up to some sort of adobe cliffside cabin. The group eventually finds seventeen hardscrabble Rust Clan Guerrillas, armed with wicker shields, spiked leather, rustvolvers, and ancient DWARF bolters.
They meet with Benito Rojo, the Plateaulet Lt of Anda Vene, a dashing guerrilla fighter with a heavy gun called the RLD Revolutionary and armed with a chitin cuirass.
Monterey tells him his lineage and Red Land pleasantries are exchanged as Rojo asks if they are the Copier’s people. The group says yes, and the men take the crates and find them full of new and improved DWARF bolters.
The group is welcome to dine on hillbread and live leeches, a delicacy loved by Monterey as the guerrilla’s grill him regarding his affiliation with the weaselly, perhaps cursed Yellowlander.
Monterey asks Rojo if they heard the explosion, to which he intimates that they are responsible. They blew up a Parliamentarian clinic building, counter-revolutionaries and K-Squads paid and bought by the Vinter Lords. Liberating it in the name of Camelia III.
The guerrillas say it is time to rest and hide from more K-Squads and Vampire Knights, and the group hides away in the secluded mountain cliffside cabin.
The Sixteenth of Yellowmonth. The Annual Martial Sung Poothers Yellowmonth Sale.
The morning is once again nice. A pleasant day to overthrow a Vinter Lord. Benito Rojo and his force begin to prepare. They paint Frutilla’s helmet and motorcycle red. Benito draws a map of the manse and asks how the group will enter and sneak in.
The group learns that the birthday party is later in the evening, so they want to attack sometime in the afternoon siesta to avoid higher security and Vampire Knights during the night.
Benito Rojo also tells of how four guards watch the gate house, and Orangelander Zombie workers have been activated to attack and push back forces before. After some planning, the group splits into two forces: five guerrillas to accompany the group and hide weapons within the cat coffee bags, while a second group with Frutilla and Rojo enter from the back garden, avoiding the workforce and hopefully securing the manse before the guardsmen can rally and the zombies are activated.
Monterey and Brother Lump arrive at Grace Abounds and are inspected and given the cold treatment by the guards with Red Land SMGs. After two checkpoints, the group is let into the manse and meets with the head maid of the manse, the neebish Donaplenum, who escorts the group to the larder and eventually pays out the group 1,800d for the 90lbs bags of cat coffee.
The group leaves, and soon enough, the sounds of gunfire and screaming can be heard as they urge their struthio and Diamante-sponsored wagon. The gatehouse guards open fire upon them, with Brother Lump getting hit as Monterey gets his nose and tongue shorn off by a bullet, stunned within the driver’s seat.
The two make it past the gates as one soldier opens fire again, grazing Monterey in the head. At death’s door, Brother Lump beseeches the Yellow God for “they have completed the sale”. The Chemical Mother flows through him, healing Monterey enough to use his Become Self scroll to regenerate bits of his nose and tongue enough to speak properly.
The group sees the Orangeland zombies surge towards the manse, unsure of Frutilla’s fate as smoke rises from Grace Abounds manse.

Notes
- The explosion the group heard was the Plateaulet Clan blowing up a Parliamentarian clinic that was creating an L10 Red Ooze bioweapon.
- Red Ooze: L10. 1AC. 15s. Pseudopods (med) Only damage from Cold. Immune to Fire and Heat. Destroys Flesh and Metal at 1d6/turn.
- The Red Ooze is now a wandering threat in the Redwine Hills
- Red Ooze: L10. 1AC. 15s. Pseudopods (med) Only damage from Cold. Immune to Fire and Heat. Destroys Flesh and Metal at 1d6/turn.
- I just used the faction turns ala Mausritter to arbitrate whether the Plateaulet Clan Guerrillas succeeded. They did
- Will have to roll additional fallout for the Vinter Lords, Dwarfs, and the RLD
- I’ll have to figure out how Diamante will ascertain if they have been exposed or not
- I had originally planned to use Delta Book of War to run the larger combat, given the number of NPCs, but the group’s planning and fortuitous GM rolls saw otherwise
- The use of Brother Lump’s Bless Miracle + Lay on Hands + Monterey’s “Become Self” spell scroll was so kino after nearly dying to an Arduin crit table head wound!
- Really dope stuff from the two players to combine their class talents and gear into a nice synergy! Awesome stuff to witness.
